The eye sees bark, but never sees the root

But knows not what it grew through

To one star
No single star can answer for the night
No single wound
Can tell what lived before the knife
Love nah close the door.
Love leaves a little air
What truly shelters never makes a soul
Smaller to stay there
Some names burn brighter when the voice goes still
Some absence walks where no returning will
Two souls beneath the selfsame moon may ache
Though oceans sleep between the paths they take
Not every leaving means the heart turned cold

Some souls are lent for only part of the way
Then vanish from the seat
Yet somehow never leave the day
Gold pon a chain still carries iron's weight

No branch fi break to fit another wall
No soul fi bow to make another tall
Better the wound that truth was brave enough to give
Than sleep without chains
And never truly live

Some leave the carriage.
Some remain till dawn
But an empty seat nah mean
The journey wrong
What the hand releases
